Your Hosts

Ann Lara

Ann has a true passion for the Osa Peninsula and has been traveling to this area for nearly twenty years! She doesn't just tell you where to go, but she will personally take you there!!  She has been able to  integrate her dream and vision to create the perfect combination: Therapeutic bodywork, Mindfulness, active lifestyle, and the wonders of the Osa Peninsula.

Ann has been practicing therapeutic bodywork since 1998 and her passion for bodywork is paired with a passion for an active lifestyle.

After being diagnosed with fibrous dysplasia, and undergoing complete hip reconstruction at age 25, she was more determined than ever to push forward and have an active life. Since then, she has participated in numerous half marathons, full marathon, and summited a 14er in Colorado, as well as the highest mountain in Costa Rica, Mt, Chirripo! She thrives on assisting others to achieve their goals and to stay active no matter what. She has had the privilege of helping countless numbers of marathoners, Ironman finishers, distance trail runners finishing 100-mile races in the mountains, cyclists, soccer players, etc.

She is currently living in Austin, Tx - "The Live Music Capital of the World".  Her practice in Central Austin encompasses a variety of healing modalities including myoskeletal alignment, neuromuscular re-education, postural correction, therapeutic bodywork, sports therapy, myofascial release, structural soft tissue correction, mindfulness, and relaxation with 100% organic, pure, therapeutic grade essential oils.

Ann has created a holistic package for body, mind, and spirit with a crazy twist of adventure! It is a very intentional, specific, detail-oriented trip with the perfect balance of exhilarating activities paired with relaxation and simply being STILL. You will have the opportunity to live in the moment watching wildlife, receiving a massage in the rainforest, doing yoga while gazing out to the ocean, and hearing the amazing cacophony of the jungle. People have described this as a "transformative experience" and "so amazing it is hard to describe." The area has been referred to as the Garden of Eden, heaven on earth... paradise! Ann will take you on a journey of both body and spirit that you have never experienced before! There is a unique quality to the Osa - primal energy that is palpable.

Paradise Taylor

Her most recent dream was to offer and host Wellness Retreats for women and focused on that in a vision board at a weekend workshop. One day later, through a mutual friend, she was connected with Ann Lara who was interviewing for this position. The practice of a vision board really resonates with Ann Lara and is a powerful tool that she has used often...that is why Wellness Adventures even exists! They both realized it was a sign...listen to that!

Paradise’s love of fitness and movement brought her to her yoga mat over 15 years ago. Her practice began in the Ashtanga lineage under the guidance of Sharon Moon.  It didn’t take long for her to discover that the practice was not only good for lengthening and strengthening the muscular system but also provided a sense of balance and calm throughout her life. After years of reaping the benefits of yoga, Paradise felt the desire to give back and to share yoga with others through teaching. Now a registered 500-hour Yoga Alliance instructor, Paradise combines energetic forms of yoga such as Flow and Vinyasa with quieter practices of Yin and Restorative, for a well-rounded class. In whatever style she is teaching she brings a warm, welcoming aura that empowers her students to grow in the practice by fostering a challenging and nurturing environment. She encourages playfulness, honesty, and enjoyment as each student explores and creates their individual practice and experience. Paradise believes passionately in yoga’s ability to unite oneself and those around you in a positive environment of personal growth."
